A good friend from our church asked if we could do their daughters Senior Pictures, and we said yes! Burke County residents gathered at American Legion Post 120 on Monday to remember those who gave their lives while serving our country. Keynote speaker Jason R. Huffman, Maj, USAF (Retired) talked to the large Memorial Day crowd about the shift of young people desiring to serve in the military.

1. Never use the term ‘home-Run’ in your football game article. This was my wife’s observation after reading my first football story roughly 3 years ago. Fortunately, they decided I would be a better photographer, and let me do that instead.

I always read the stories after the article was published, and began noticing some patterns. This year I was asked if I’d like to try the articles again. I decided, why not? I have learned a little. Much comes from noticing things on the field, and then tying it together with the play by play stats the school gives me access to, as well as looking though hundreds of images… Oh, then there’s always my favorite coach Travis. He is always willing to answer a question, no matter how silly it is, and I appreciate that!

The Burke County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual golf tournament last Thursday at the Waynesboro Country Club. Members of the Liberty National team took home the top prize, flat screen televisions, after turning in the low score among 16 teams.

These are photos from a class I took last semester at Augusta Technical College. It was a documentary class, and this was the annual “Not” Wedding, used to give students an opportunity to cover a wedding. While it was staged, the couple I was able to work with are a husband and wife, and Gabriel is active duty here in Augusta, Ga. They were fun to work with! Enjoy!
